Thank you for Visiting our Web site and Welcome to our
CountrySide Montessori School at the Little Mulberry Park
Our mission is to provide the highest possible quality of Montessori education, with carefully trained and selected Montessori teachers within a beautiful, wholesome and nurturing environment that is intellectually stimulating for young children, an environment in which our children can happily and safely learn and explore.
We gently guide our students to be well trained in the basic academic disciplines, fulfilling their creative potential, and building confidence in their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual abilities - thus helping to prepare each child for a successful, happy, and fulfilling life!
Our goal is to empower our students to develop a strong self-concept, to appreciate the beauty and diversity of the human spirit, and the world in which we live.
We encourage a strong partnership between our parents and our school. We further believe that in such a caring atmosphere, where faculty and parents work together for the benefit of their childern's education and development, children thrive and have the optimal opportunity to blossom into responsible, considerate and contributing members of our society.

Maria Montessori's Philosophy
Marie Montessori graduated from the medical school of the University of Rome in 1896, and was the first woman to practice medicine in Italy. As a physician, Dr. Montessori was very involved with the care of young children. Through scientific observation, she came to see how children interacted with one another, learned through the use of materials she provided, and went through specific phases of development.
Her approach to education was developed based on her observations, in collaboration with her background in psychology and her belief in the education of children as a means to create a better society. She continued to observe children around the world, and found that the universal laws of development she had recognized were inherent of children of all races and cultures. The Montessori approach to education continues to be respected and practiced internationally.
